My first band was the (big-) band of the Heinrich-Mann-Gesamtschule, Dietzenbach, where I spent my desperate youth.

Thanks to a good-hearted teacher I was able to play with some other freaks.

Due to the overwhelming number of kids interested in playing in the same band, they had to mess around with glockenspiel and xylophone - while I was rocking at the drums.

There exist some takes of one of our concerts, must have been the mid 80’s. The sound is as good as your local school gym looks like ;-)
